The last couple weeks have been very nice. I was able to enjoy some quality time in Osnabrück, visiting my Opa's side of the family.
Marian, Me, Eric, Luna, SabrinaI have also been working quite a bit recently. First I am making a little extra money by doing some yard work outside and by yard work, I mean I have been digging a 1,5' deep 1,5' wide trench around our house so the worker people can insulate it. I know, you cannot wait to see my arm muscles... Then secondly, the kindergarten teachers have decided it was a good idea to strike, so Matti (5) and I have been spending some quality time together. It is nice although I miss my morning runs.
Speaking of running, Petra and I have been running quite a bit together. It is really nice. (random thought, I know, live with it...)
Also a few weekends ago I was invited and went to a handball teammate's wedding. It was really fun. The handball girls are wonderful to hang out with. We laughed and danced and drank wine all night long. I taught them some need-to-know dances (yes, I taught them to dance...haha): the Sprinkler, the Running Man, the Lawnmower, the Shopper (noticing a theme?), the Jackie Dance, etc. We certainly enjoyed ourselves. One of the neatest traditions of a German wedding is: after the ceremony the bride and groom cut a huge heart out of a bedsheet together, then the groom carries (or is supposed to carry) the bride through the hole:
Today was a sad day actually, one of my good friends, also a fellow aupair, left. Elinor, from Sweden, and I have gotten really close since about December. It was really sad to see her go and it will be really odd to not have her to talk with.
