So when I originally heard that there was a fall break, Herbstferien if you will, I was expecting something similiar to Xavier's fall break 2 days...well I came to find out that it is a two week break! Cool!
So Friday was the last day of school (well Thrusday for me because I don't have class on Fridays normally) and the break is off to a great start! This weekend was really enjoyable. I went with a few au pairs to Hannover's Oktoberfest where we enjoyed a couple rides.
Elinor (Swedish) and I and Chelsey (from the states) and Jenna (Canadian)
Then on Saturday afternoon I watched my first handball game...interesting... after the game the team and I headed to town and enjoyed a relaxing night at a bar in Altstadt (one of my favorite parts of the city). And today, Sunday, has been a very nice day of writing a few emails and reading and playing Settlers of Catan with Petra and Christian after the kids went to bed. I lost both games but learned the Ore in German is Erz - always good for normal conversation.
But what I am most looking forward to during this wonderful Herbstferien is my trip to Paris! I am headed out Thursday after lunch, Petra offered to bring me to the airport, and arriving in France around 3:30 to spend (almost) 6 glorious days with Valeska! I am headed there with a bit of money, an empty camera card, and plenty of battery life!
I hope you all have a nice week. Enjoy the beautiful weather that I hear Ohio is having. I miss everyone!
